Want to know the reason behind me always posting pictures of the hit series Gossip Girl? They wear the most fabulous headbands out of anyone I know. They should pay me to be a walking spokes person for the fashion on thier show. If you have not watched the show already then you must start. If you dont like the acting or the catty behavior, mute it. Prepare to be amazed by the clothes that they wear. From top designers to local, the clothes that they wear on this show are simply amazing and every fashionista should be aware.
Until then,
JBands

You all may be wondering, what is going to become of JBands? Don't worry, even though class is ending and this project is wrapping up, I am not planning on going anywhere. You all better stay tuned for great things in the future, because this line is going global.... well maybe I will start aiming for nation or even state wide first. But thats besides the point, I want to make a career out of this brand and I cant do it alone. I need all of your help! Get your friends to follow. The next posts will be pictures of my own work and where you can find them. Trust me, you are going to want to have one of the first ones made, so do not miss out! I think to ensure that this all really happens, the next step for me is trademarking. Over the Christmas holidays I plan on doing just that. I am going to trademark the name JBands so that people(and myself) know that this is going to happen for real. Ill keep you posted as I work on it. Thank you for following,
Until then,
JBands

Love is in the air! Or... is it in the hair? Got to give it up to Blair Waldorf in the hit series of Gossip Girl for being the queen of headbands. And for a good reason, she looks good in them!

With "going green" as big as ever, how does a company stay in the loop to real customers in for their very own green products? Make something unique and give a green discount. I want my brand to have a positive outlook on the environment. So I made a list of things I could do to ensure more green for the environment, and more green for your pocket.
1. Donate any extra scrap fabric you have to the stores that carry JBands. With all the scrap fabric we can then use them to create new recycled looks in the headband collection for a cheaper price. Then people could get a better since of vintage in their wardrobe and all of the proceeds could go to a cause that helps the earth and animals out. Then people would not feel like they were being gipped into buying stuff they donated, it would be a form of feel good charity.
2. Have a benefit where people come and bid on headbands that other people make as well as my own. There could be a contest to see who sells the higher bid, my headbands or the people who enter, all proceeds would go to cleaning the streets of New York and other places as well.
3. Make a special line of headbands that are made from 100% recycled goods, such as old soup cans and old magazines. It could be the eco friendly line and made out of all things you find in your house. People like things like that, so it would sell and be good for the environment!

Now is time to be greener than ever! What can you do to help?

Over the last 20 years, one could come to the conclusion that companies do not always treat thier employees right. Dealing with wages and working hours as well as age can be very dangerous when you own a large enough company where you have to have your goods manufactured in other countries. Although some people do it simply because it is cheaper. I can assure you that JBands will remain a US based company and will have none of these problems. How do I know this? Because its my brand. And even if one day I sell these headbands to stores such as Anthropologie and J.Crew, they will be made in my presence and not in any factory by any means. The whole idea of Jbands is a unique and vintage look rather than something you can just buy at forever 21. But who knows, when I get big, maybe I will follow what all the other brands are doing, making smaller chains.
Until then,
Jbands
As you all know, I am developing this brand from scratch. I have gathered some information to those who care to know how exactly I am going to do this. First of all, it will be a sole proprietorship because I believe that they are my ideas and I will need things done how I see them. Then hopefully one day they will be famous enough that I can make the brand into a corporation. The corporate location will be in New York, preferably the Upper East Side (hey I can dream can't I?) or possibly if it gets big enough it could move to the meat packing district. Maybe I could share offices with DVF? I am sure we will be close friends soon anyways. :) But to get my start, I will start selling them on Etsy and to other headband lovers, maybe even mail some into stylists to give them something a little extra to work with, with their clients. I hope you all believe in me as much as I do. I have big plans for the future so please stay tuned!
